    A mentoring program as a part of university to help our future grads in acclimating themselves to the life in Australia and into the course structure. As a mentor, I had two associates in their first semester and they have successfully finished their first semester. I made sure, they met all their requirements and tried to a be a support throughout in different aspects.we as a team try to develop a communal harmony by helping mutually though this program.

Projects

  • CNet- Legacy Telephone Exchange to VoIP.

    Primary Objective of the project is to preserve the Legacy telephone exchanges which are used in 1920's. This is done by integrating those telephone exchanges to the VoIP network, then by using internet as backbone calls made form those exchanges can be routed all over the world.
    Key Achievements:
    • VoIP network is designed and implemented using Asterisk as a VoIP Server.
    • Successfully integrated AXE-104 telephone exchange with new VoIP network.

    repeatedly using DVD players. These DVD players are wired to individual displays. In the
    prevailing method, videos cannot be controlled by a centralised interface. The purpose of
    this project is to provide a centralized Media Management Solution, to provide users a
    system to upload content for each individual display.

    this project is to provide a centralized Media Management Solution, to provide users a
    system to upload content for each individual display.

    A web interface is developed to control the displays around the museum.Using web interface admin can control the device and user database. RPi is used to feed the video to the display system and can be controlled through the centralised platform. Users can login to the web interface and select the device and upload the desired video to it.
    Hardware: Raspberry Pi (RPi)
    OS : Rasbian(RPi), CentOS(Web server)
    Languages: PHP,MySQL.
    Scripts: Python.

    Usability& Advantages Of Solution:
    1.Less Power Consumption: RPi consumes less power compared to DVD players.
    2.Wireless Access: Wi-Fi is configured in RPi avoiding the expense of LAN establishment.
    3.Mobility:Devices can be controlled from any part of the museum by simply using Web interface.

  • Wireless Communication with increased Data Rate

    Objective: To mitigate low data rate in wired communication system, I took up a project during my final year of study, to implement STTCM (Space Time Trellis Coded Modulation) and OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) in DSP (Digital Signal Processor) in order to increase the data rate for wireless communication. Since the DSP can process only machine code, I used code composer studio to convert C files to hex files.

  • Concept Autonomous Underwater Vehicle for Ocean Observation

    The objective was to design a highly mobile autonomous underwater vehicle to facilitate oceanographic observation. The project was presented at National Institute of Ocean Technology (Ministry Of Earth Sciences, Government of India, IEEE - Oceanic Engineering Society) on January 10th, 2011. The endeavour also got the ‘Best Project Award’ for the year 2011 at Kumaraguru College of Technology.
