This September, Tony Cook, our Global Lead of Customer Solutions, celebrated an amazing 25 years with G Adventures! 🎉   As part of our Loyal G Program, celebrating the impactful journeys our team members take with us, Tony was surprised by our founder, Bruce Poon Tip, in Jordan with a hot air balloon ride over Wadi Rum. A perfect way to honour a lifetime spent leading, inspiring, and making adventure possible for so many.   Over the years, Tony has been at the heart of Customer Solutions, guiding our teams, supporting travellers, and solving problems with his trademark dedication, creativity, and care. From his early days “embracing the bizarre” to now, his passion for changing lives through travel has inspired everyone at G Adventures. Countless colleagues have learned from his example, his mentorship, and his unwavering commitment.   Tony, thank you for everything you do. A mural with a message. 💜 On the Kalha stairs in Amman, a new piece of art now stands as a reminder of GX Jordan and the vision it set in motion.   Created by local artist يامن الحطاب (@yamen_art on Instagram), the piece tells a story of connection. From the Deserts of Wadi Rum to the bustling streets of the capital, shapes and patterns emerge. Each one may seem simple, a star, a diamond, but together they form a powerful tapestry of resilience, unity, and strength.   This is the spirit of Jordan. #GXJordan was one for the books 🇯🇴✨   From the Wadi Rum desert to the streets of Amman, the week was a full-on celebration of Community Tourism and the people making it happen. We connected with incredible Planeterra partners changing lives through travel, gathered for the #WorldCommunityTourismSummit, and danced under the stars (literally 🌌). We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall. She was a trailblazer, a visionary, and one of the most influential voices for our planet. 🌍💚 Through her groundbreaking work, Jane dedicated her life to conservation, animal welfare, and uplifting communities. Her voice and vision have inspired generations, and we are humbled to have partnered with her and the Jane Goodall Institute over the years. We have had a long-standing relationship with Dr. Jane and the Jane Goodall Institute for many years that has enabled us to shape how travellers connect with nature in ways that inspire care, conservation, and a sense of responsibility to our planet - values that Jane lived and breathed every day. Just last month, Jane joined our founder, Bruce Poon Tip, for a fireside chat on tourism, conservation, and creating a brighter future. In that conversation, she reminded us, “We are all human. Yesterday, we celebrated #WorldTourismDay live from Jordan! 🇯🇴 Our global community gathered at #GXJordan for the World Community Tourism Summit, part of a week-long celebration of travel like no other. Over 700 attendees came together to connect, collaborate, and spark incredible conversations. We were inspired by thought leaders including world-renowned ethologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall, Lonely Planet co-founder Tony Wheeler, National Geographic Explorer Nora Shawki, BBC Travel contributor Carmen Roberts, and our own founder Bruce Poon Tip OC, along with many more voices shaping the future of travel.
