Description
The kick-off meeting for the validation funding project "PyRolL" took place at the 19th of April at the Institute of Metal Forming (IMF) of TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF). Here interested partners were introduced to the project scope and goals. The kick-off meeting featured talkes by:
- Dr. Christian Overhagen (University Duisburg Essen): "Fast Simulation and Design of Rolling Processes for Long Products"
- Dr. Peter Schmidt (CodeForThought): "Open Source Software – Demystified!"
- Andre Uhlmann (Saxeed Freiberg): "Introduction SAXEED"
- PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Matthias Schmidtchen: "The Path to PyRolL: Simulation of Groove Rolling at the IMF"
- Richard Pfeifer & Max Stirl: "PyRolL Validation Funding: Objectives and Procedure"
