Description

Are the templates on https://github.com/Plac3hold3r/MvxScaffolding official or not ? Because you feature them on the website but they are completely outdated, I can't seem to be able to build it.

Yeah, these are not official templates. Not sure if @Plac3hold3r is planning on updating these or not.

@Cheesebaron Thanks for this sample, haven't noticed there is a starter in there too. And you even updated it for me. Would be nice if it became a template to be honest

@Cheesebaron Has MvxImageView been deprecated? I think it supported loading from url which is what I want. I tried installing Xamarin.Android.Glide but it seems like I'm in dependency hell. I want to load an image from url on ImageView which is a part of RecyclerView but that's another story.

They literally are telling you what to do Install/reference Xamarin.AndroidX.Lifecycle.LiveData.Core 2.8.3.1 directly to project AndroidApp to resolve this issue. Until you fix all the explicitly referenced dependencies.

On the other hand you don't really need to explicitly reference all the Xamarin.AndroidX.* dependencies. Most of them will come with Glide or with DroidX.RecyclerView. I personally usually just add Xamarin.Google.Android.Material and it brings all the needed AndroidX.

But still sometime 2 NuGet packages conflict on implicit dependencies then you need to explicitly add them like in the issue above.

If you managed to install Glide version 4.16.0.4 then leave it as is. Do not bother to have the latest patch.

And so I've tried, but after that complains about LiveData.Common and after I update that to what it wants it throws java errors like so:

~~P.S.: clearing done wrong actually since Context can be ContextWrapper or anything else so it's better to just check is its Handle is not IntPtr.Zero.~~

So what is correct? Clearing is not needed? It seems like you removed that part
