FWIW, I asked Claude Code to do this, and here's what it did:

My CLAUDE.md had an existing section for "Tool Usage Patterns", and it added a new item:

- **TU-9 (SHOULD)** Use `ck` semantic search for finding conceptually similar code patterns:
  - `ck --sem "error handling"` - Find error handling patterns across languages
  - `ck --hybrid "auth"` - Combine regex and semantic search for authentication code
  - `ck --index .` - Create search indices for frequently searched directories
  - Prefer semantic search over basic grep when looking for implementation patterns

Similarly, it added ck guidance to a "Search Patterns" section in CLAUDE.local.md:

#### Search Patterns

This project has the `ck` semantic search tool available for intelligent codebase exploration:

**Common Search Patterns:**
- **Error Handling**: `ck --sem "error handling"` - Find try/catch, error boundaries, validation patterns
- **Authentication**: `ck --sem "authentication"` - Find Stytch integration, session management, middleware
- **Database Operations**: `ck --sem "database connection"` - Find Neon, Hyperdrive, Drizzle patterns
- **Component Patterns**: `ck --sem "vue component"` - Find Vue 3 Composition API patterns
- **API Routes**: `ck --sem "api endpoint"` - Find Hono route handlers and middleware
- **State Management**: `ck --sem "pinia store"` - Find state management patterns

**Indexing Strategy:**
- Run `ck --index .` once to create search indices for semantic search
- Index is automatically maintained as files change

- `--sem` for conceptual similarity (find patterns)
- `--lex` for full-text search (find specific terms)
- `--hybrid` for combined regex + semantic search
- `--regex` for traditional grep-like search

**Performance Tips:**
- Index once, search many times for best performance
- Use `--threshold 0.8` for high-confidence results
- Use `--limit N` to control result quantity

It added these items to my allow permissions in Claude Code's settings.local.json:
