  Version 2.4 will bring some modernisations and cleanups to Gcolor3, such as a `GtkShortcutsWindow` (bumps the GTK+ 3 dependency to 3.19.3) and dropping the use of intltool[[1](https://blogs.gnome.org/mclasen/2016/07/21/using-modern-gettext/), [2](https://blogs.gnome.org/mcatanzaro/2016/07/27/on-the-killing-of-intltool/)]. The reason for bringing these modernisations in a separate release is to make 2.3 available to as many users as possible, including those who do not yet have access to GTK+ 3 3.20 and gettext 0.19.8.
