Ability for "reverse" funnels #43686

@andrewtheis

Description

@andrewtheis

Feature request

Is your feature request related to a problem?

No

Describe the solution you'd like

When attempting to track why a user may have stopped using an app, it would be helpful to be able to set an end point for a Funnel report that works backwards through the final events of users that hit the selected endpoint (Application Backgrounded, for example). You can then create an inactive user cohort, allowing you to get an idea of what might have caused those users to go inactive (hitting a paywall, for example).

Describe alternatives you've considered

Custom SQL could be used for this that generates a report, but it's not as easy to visualize common funnel paths.

Additional context

Asked if this was possible via support ticket #44441, and was told it isn't at this time and was directed to report here :)
