Summary
Add a checkbox in settings to automatically collapse the reasoning process section, allowing users to hide intermediate reasoning until the final response is displayed. This reduces visual clutter and prioritises direct output visibility
Basic Example
When requesting concise information (e.g., "How to say 'Hello' in 10 different ways?"), the system generates an extended internal reasoning process often in multiple paragraphs that occupies vertical space before delivering the final answer. This obscures the requested output and reduces clarity
Drawbacks
- Users requiring detailed explanations or contextual insights may miss critical details if the thought process is hidden by default
- Adding a toggle requires modifying the UI/UX architecture, which may introduce edge cases (e.g., inconsistent state management, accessibility concerns)
- Hidden content may pose challenges for users relying on screen readers or other assistive technologies without explicit toggle access.
