Yes, I am referring to the simulation data obtained from Smilei code. For self injected electron beam characteristic study, I usually save the data of position (x, y, z), momentum (px, py, pz) and charge (or weight), and then make different post-processing as required.

In experiment oriented simulations, sometimes it is useful to evaluate electron beam characteristics to compare them directly with the experimental observations. The test figure that I used above is shown to me by my supervisor and he ask me to try to make something similar using the electron beam energy and divergence from the simulation.

In conferences, I also saw in some posters, people show the simulation results like the test figure (above) and make a comparison with the experimental result. This is the reason why I am looking for some help on making such a figure.

In that case, you can either make a 2D histogram from your data, or use the ParticleBinning diagnostic with ekin as one axis and the second axis must probably be custom-made

I can make energy spectrum of the injected particles as: energy on X-axis and charge per MeV (dQ/dE) on Y-axis.
But my problem is how to make the figure as shown in the first message of my post. If you could help me to get this image from the position, momentum and charge information then it would be great.

I have tons of scripts for this kind of operations, that I use for LWFA.
They all use the TrackParticle diagnostic data, the charge de-normalization is correct for 3D and AMcylindrical simulations.
I should definitely clean these scripts and put them on a GitHub repository.

This is one I used for 2D histograms, feel free to adapt it (and correct it when necessary) for your needs:
Compute_bunch_parameters.txt

It will need the functions defined in this script:
tools_Compute_bunch_parameters.txt

Or, in a simpler version for just a 1D and 2D histogram:
Plot_spectrum_at_timestep.py.txt

Please do not hesitate to ask if you need other particular postprocessing scripts from the TrackParticles, if it is an analysis typically made for LWFA it is possible that I have a script to do it.

With your scripts, I think I was able to do what I was looking for. Thank you so much for being so helpful.
There might be some possibility that I may do some mistakes on getting correct values. So, I will show you later (if you are interested) how I used your scripts for making energy spectrum for both pC/MeV/μm and pC/MeV/mrad.
