One of the core issues with the Trilium at the moment is that it doesn't really have a fully working mobile application. There is TriliumDroid and I appreciate it, but I would like to take it in a completely other direction (from a development point of view) so it will be written from scratch.

I am thinking of implementing it as a React Native application with a relatively simple but efficient UI and to try to reuse as many components as possible. For example, the editor (CKEditor, CodeMirror) will still be in use.

As opposed to a PWA, I would like to implement it in a way that's unlike some of our competitors the application will be designed to work fully offline, with its own sync capability.

I plan to support both iOS and Android.

This is a significant undertaking and it will require me taking unpaid time off the job in order to implement it, financial support would be appreciated, via:

I expect this effort to take several months.
