@wrapnuts this issue should be resolved in https://github.com/ZeusLN/zeus/releases/tag/v0.12.2-alpha2 - hope you take the time to try it out again. Really appreciative of you testing this out in the wild. |

@kaloudis I just got an error fetching address, when pasting my invoice from a few days ago. Not sure if this is just due to it being expired already? In any case, I'll try and test in the wild again this weekend! |

Yes, I believe it's just expired as, to my understanding, each QR is specific to your order. The error is different that before, so that's promising. |

Just got back and out of curiosity wanted to install blink for my next field trip. However, it requires me to resister my phone no. that ain't gonna happen... Anyways, when trying to pay in the wild, zeus reported I tried asking the cashier, how fast the QR-codes expire, but she did not know. The terminal showed it for roughly 30 seconds. After that it showed advertisement. Almost at the same time as zeus reported |

I went to the grocery shop again today. This time, my QR-scanner within zeus was already active and I was holding it over the terminal to make sure it scans the QR-code as fast as possible. Zeus scanned the QR-code as soon as it was displayed by the terminal. However, after 7sec it reported |

Success! That was absolutely unreal, spending from my own node in the biggest retailer here... Thank you so much 👍 As a note, I've used an app called cryptoQR in the past, which translates monebadger invoices for my custodial LN-wallet. Happy to delete those apps now. Today was very special! |

Confirmed working at PicknPay. Just visited the store to do a live test with the alpha build, v0.12.2-alpha3 The reason we don't use Bolt11 codes is because we don't control the QR code displayed at the merchant point of sale. Happy to change things if there is a better way. |

First of all, thanks to the MoneyBadger Team! I've noticed that your invoices expire after 60 sec. Could your team perhaps bump it higher to like 2min? What is the reason for such a short expiry atm? My best guess is, that the POS can only display the QR-code for that amount of time. If that's the case, like you said - you cannot change it. |

There's a couple of reasons, one is that we don't know when the QR code was generated, and it is only valid for 90 seconds after creation. We can look at increasing the time-to-pay a bit, but why do you need 2 minutes? Does your lightning tx take that long to complete? Would you mind if we took the timing discussion to email to avoid spamming here, maybe we can come up with an improvement? carel at moneybadger.co.za |
