FakeFS is convenient because it gives a clean, in-memory filesystem for every test without the need to clean up afterwards.

However, it doesn't implement file locking (File#flock) for instance which causes issues with the standard library, and doesn't fully behave like an actual filesystem.

This is to track the removal of FakeFS from all tests.
