Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

This is not related to configuring Outline

  • The issue is not related to self-hosting config

Current Behavior

Then adding a new row to a table were the first column is a vertically merged cell, the new row is not added below the merged row as you would expect but below the first row. (see image)

Image The image shows the result of pressing the blue "add row" button. It adds the row in the wrong place.

Expected Behavior

There should be "Add row" buttons for all rows, not only for those that have a cell in the first column. (see image)

Image I'd expect buttons next to the rows (see red circle)

Steps To Reproduce

  1. create a table
  2. add 2 or more rows
  3. fill the cells to identify new ones
  4. merge 2 first column cells
  5. try to add a new row below

Environment

- Outline: 0.87.3
- Browser: Firefox
