I am trying to run xprof on my Mac and get the following error when I run the xprof command:

Unable to load profiler plugin. Import error: cannot import name '_pywrap_profiler_plugin' from 'xprof.convert' (unknown location)

I have tried both pip install xprof and pip install xprof-nightly in clean Python environments for each of 3.11, 3.12, and 3.13. Each configuration gives me the same error message.
