Agree, i've also had the same concerns in the past whenever a similar issue gets reported, we currently just "warn" about this full text boolean mode behavior by having a link to read Maybe it's time to refactor it, make it optional to use the full text search and opt for a simple |

Yes , I was talking about studio UI, I tested global search in studio UI with double quotes and it worked. |

Ops, it is indeed a completely different area (and now i remember why no changes are planned in admin ui, because of studio dealing with it better way with Opensearch), but under the hood, the match of full text search and tokenization of the symbols might be having similar behavior/rules at some extent. Let's see if we find something more in the Studio current approach. |

Hi everyone,
While exploring the Studio UI, I noticed a potential issue with the global search feature.
When searching for any keyword, the results include a large number of irrelevant entries. As an end user, I’d expect the search to return only highly relevant matches, but currently, I need to apply multiple filters to narrow down the results — and even then, some unrelated items still appear.
Here’s an example:
The issue is even more noticeable in the global search view, where many irrelevant results are displayed.
I’ve already configured the generic index, and the same behavior can be reproduced on the official Pimcore Studio UI Demo

Would appreciate if someone from the team could confirm whether this is a known limitation or an indexing configuration issue.
