Refresh download and a dedicated tab for all downloaded files #1788

@razvbir

Description

@razvbir

Thanks for the great work — Motrix already looks really clean and usable. I’d like to request two features that would make it perfect for my workflow, and I’m happy to implement them if you’d consider merging the changes.

Feature requests

  • A dedicated tab/list showing all downloaded files with their current status.
    • Ability to sort by download progress (percent).
    • Quick actions per item: resume download and refresh download/source.
  • “Refresh download” behavior similar to IDM:
    • If resume fails, IDM opens the originating page so you can re-request the file.
    • Currently, Motrix’s “Copy link” returns a CDN link that is often expired; a refresh action that opens the source page would solve that.

Why this matters

  • I switched from Windows to Linux and these are the two IDM features I miss most. I’ve tried many download managers and haven’t found one that combines both capabilities.
  • Motrix is already great and easy to use — adding these features would cover my main use cases.

I’m willing to implement this

  • I can open a PR to add these features. Before I start, could you confirm:
    • Would this be accepted/merged if implemented to the project’s standards?
    • Any preferred approach, UI guidelines, or architecture considerations I should follow?
    • Tests or code-style requirements I should be aware of?

Thanks — I’d love to contribute and can start as soon as I get your guidance.
