For anybody using NeoVim (or vim)+VSCode, do this and restart VSCode:
defaults write com.microsoft.VSCode ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false

It allows you to press and hold your movement keys and have them repeat instead of showing a MacOS popup for alternate forms of the pressed character.
