It would be nice to have a view cube in the viewer window to display the orientation of the scene. The cube should be interactive such that clicking on a face aligns the view to that face. Animated move to the aligned view is a bonus. Each face should have a text name visible. Next level would be to add corner and edge alignment options (similar to Onshape for example). The cube should also have lines indicating axes. I personally like the Onshape view cube a lot, here's a picture for reference:
