This would certainly make hsd / bns installation more convenient and reliable. Lots of users don't understand how to install the lib.

The other benefit would be consistency with versioning. Ubuntu still deploys unbound 1.9 while the latest version is 1.13. Older OSS might not have support for newer DNSSEC algos.

This may be a moot point since OpenSSL also varies system to system but it'll be a good start at least
