During some debug printing I've discovered that the calculations are updated periodically and was wondering why there is a need for a consantly running timer to calculate the stats even if nothing changes? You already have a tracking for selection changes and view activation. What else can cause the stats to become stale that can't be tracked via ST's APIs?
