I use Shoko for managing my anime collection. It can handle renaming, moving (in theory) and, most importantly, scanning files.
In my experience, Shoko is far better at actually detecting anime episodes than Taiga is (though I'm not saying Taiga is bad)...though this isn't surprising, since Shoko detects episode by the file hash.
For the sake of convenience, I think it would be nice if Taiga could, somehow, connect with Shoko, which would allow Taiga to detect anime that it otherwise doesn't (so I can play the episodes directly from Taiga). Syncing watched status would also be a nice feature, though the main thing would be the episode scanning.
