Schlage classic obverse and reverse keyways #19

Description

@Awbmilne

Hey there, this seems like a fun project!

I figured you would be interested to know that the schlage classic obverse keyways (those existing in this repo) had a less-known and more-restricted sibling, the schlage classic reverse keyways.

These keyways were typically restricted to certified locksmiths (Or some other method, im not a locksmith), so are harder to get hands on. But, from my understanding, they are exact mirror images of the observe keyways.

So, one could potentially, easily, reverse to point mapping in the existing schlage classic obverse definition to get the schlage classic reverse keyways.

The reverse keyways are lettered as follows:

D, DQ, Q, QS, S, ST, T

With Multisection Keys: U, V, W

And All-section: Y

The obverse are lettered as follows:

C, CE, E, EF, F, FG, G

With Multisection Keys: H, J, K

And All-section: L

Refer to this diagram for relation between keyways:

Examples:

  • D is reverse of C
  • ST is reverse of FG
  • W is reverse of K
  • Y is reverse of L

Please Note: Adding this information does likely go against Schlage's wishes, as they still appear to keep information about the Schlage Classic Reverse series very restricted. From my understanding, they are not under patent or any specific legal protection any more, but the information is still kept secret-ish. Please do your own research as to whether this should be in the repo.
