I saw a post recently (but of course can't find it now to link to it) talking about supporting a reduced subset of inline markdown in quickie posts, and I was wondering if I could work on that as a contribution?

I was taking a look and feel like I could piggy back pretty heavily on what's this commit: 1872b22

Baseline minimal functionality idea: allow users to add in a small subset of inline markdown that we would support rendering once the post is saved:

• italic
• bold
• code
• (I think links are already supported but, if not, then links)
• strikethrough?

Extra functionality ideas:

• Could apply a little bit of wysiwyg, applying the italics, bolds, codes, link coloring to the text in-place as they edit it a la markdown editors like obsidian, doesn't seem super difficult with an editable div. There are existing components out there like the Toast editor that we could use if we really wanted something fancy, but I think just wrapping things in asterisks in em tags could be simple enough to do without installing another dependency.
• Possibly, similar to the links near the big editor, a little link that pops up a window explaining the markdown syntax that's available?
