Using v and moving backwards unselects the character starting on #27

Description

If I have this example

1 dogcatmoose

And I put my cursor on the e at the end of line one, then select v to go into visual mode, then use h to move to the left to select more characters, the e will not be included.

Same goes for using find select. Same situation, if I go to the e at the end of the line, and select v then f, and select d to go to the d at the beginning of the line, all will be selected except for the e.

The problem with this is if I yank or cut, it will not include the starting character.

What should happen is that the starting character should still be selected as the cursor is moved backwards.
