I suspect that this is down to the use of an emoji in the abstract. Manual submission doesn't work, but the only message is " Submission rejected: Error generating text format from XML ". The submission status page shows "0 authors" and a file of zero length.

Given that xml2rfc has no issue with this document when run locally, I can only assume that there is some other process in play here.

I should point out that submission was successful when I supplied the text file, which might isolate the source of the problem.
