I am trying to understand how to modify routing using EnvoyFilter in our istio/Gateway API setup. This link suggests that

EnvoyFilter provides a mechanism to customize the Envoy configuration generated by istiod.

How do i find out what is the default configuration which istio uses for envoy ? Is there any documentation of sorts which explains this is in some detail. Or could you please point me to the code which configures envoy ?
