Description

This milestone tracks the development of additional enhanced capabilities for the workflows feature. These include support for workflow templates, support for workflows based on session-termination events, and enhancements to the management of task runners responsible for executing the scheduled steps.

Goals

The main goals of the milestone are

• Add support for workflow templates, allowing admins to easily create new workflows from a template.
• Allow the definition of different task runners for groups of workflows. This gives admins a finer control over how frequently scheduled steps should be checked for different workflows. In some cases it might suffice to have a task runner checking for due steps once a day, while other cases might require an hourly check, for instance.
• Add support for workflows based on session termination events. This task depends on work done by the SRE team to fire events when sessions are terminated, so the timing for delivering this capability is uncertain.
• Add support for other resource types (clients, idps).

Non-Goals

At the moment we don't have non-goals. This is a placeholder milestone so we can track capabilities we want to add in the future.
