This repository is an example pure python package that people can use. We now have a template that can be used to create a pure python package from scratch. It would be ideal if the package in this repo used and represented the template out from the full version of our package template.

So what we could do is:

1. fork this repo
2. run the packaging copier template on the package in this template using the FULL option (preselected defaults) which will update the pyproject.toml, CI setup, etc
3. Submit a pr with the updated package to this repository.

I'll open another issue that focuses on documentation for this repository.
