python3.12 : Warn from os.fork() if other threads exist (what to do?) #817

@dimpase

Description

@dimpase

Python 3.12 introduced Warn from os.fork() if other threads exist deprecation warning which pops up in e.g. tests where pexpect interacts a multi-threaded application.

For a specific platform this was raised as #816. We have seen this in sagemath/sage#39796 too.

Are there any mitigations possible? I mean, not just suppressing the warning and hoping for the best, but real ways to avoid troubles the warning is pointing at?
