Reason for change

Events are fun and I think it would be nice to reduce the gaps between events so you have at least one in each month. Pokemon Worlds is a big pokemon celebration and they often have tie in events in the various games, so it fits nicely.

Pokemon Worlds generally happens in August, so this event could be towards the end of August to close the gap between Mewtwo Strikes Back and Halloween.

Detailed Description

Since the Battle Frontier represents online pokemon battles against other trainers, the event would take place in Hoenn. Either letting you encounter and catch event pokemon in the Battle Frontier, or if that's not something you want to do have players encounter them in the nearby routes as they travel to the World Championship.

As for what the event pokemon would be, every year the World Championship has a theme they use to create costumes for event mascots. Here are some examples. While adding all of them would be a bit much, there are plenty of options to choose from and you could pick the most interesting ones to add.

There is also a lot of potential for adding in new boss fights or minigames based on the various games at the World Championships. I think including them in an event would make it feel a bit too bloated, so I didn't really give them too much thought. But I figure I might as well include them in case they inspire some ideas.

For the VGC you could have a special elite-four style gym where you could fight previous world champions and the teams they used to win.
For the TCG you could give the event pokemon a rare drop that is their trading card (so an event pikachu would drop the pikachu card) which could then be traded in to a temporary vendor at the Battle Frontier in exchange for the various currencies.
For Pokemon GO and Pokemon Unite you could have a temporary shop where they sell alternate pokemon forms based on skins from those games.
