- Target audience: >13yo, hackers, sysadmins, operators, and sres
- Move to "hard way" approach: stated what is needed to be learned, not how
- Drop most thematic elements except hacker's perspective
- Encourage reader to create their own mnemonic devices
- Focus on motivating reader to write their own "text book"
- Avoid specific steps, show how to search and find own resources
