I'm building Gridpaper, a tool for creating publication-quality scientific figures directly in your browser. No licence fees, no tracking, no data leaving your machine.

Gridpaper compiles to gnuplot via WebAssembly and handles everything from scatter plots to spherical harmonics: 12 mark types, 5 coordinate systems, curve fitting, smoothing, density estimation, and more. The test suite runs 1,900+ tests on every change.

I'm a computational scientist by training (PhD in solid mechanics) and a single dad in London. I built Gridpaper because making a clean figure for a paper shouldn't require expensive software. Right now I work on it around a day job and two boys who need feeding.

Your sponsorship buys dedicated development time: better data import, new derivation methods, polished workflows, and progress toward the open-source release. Once sponsorship sustains full-time development, the full codebase goes open source.
