My open source work is currently focused on leading the DevOps for Defense community in Huntsville, AL. Our meetup was started in December of 2017 and every month we strive to bring a new valuable topic to our local community. All presentations, examples, demos, etc are posted as open source to our GitHub repository. Even our guest speakers from StackOverflow, Atlassian, Red Hat, and GitHub have all agreed to publish their material to our open source repositories. We explore solutions from the commercial world and discuss how they may apply to our daily lives working for government programs. We provide working examples for our community to borrow that include automated acceptance testing, automated document pipelines, and container demonstrations. We will continue to bring in new guest speakers from our local community, the academic world, and leaders in commercial solutions. All donations go right back into the DevOps for Defense community.
