I feel like we've been through this already, but once again, there seems to be a performance issue.
Now, the cursor behaves okay, but once you start typing the problem becomes apparent. Just take one large text file, hold a letter on the keyboard and watch the cursor stutter, as the word counter runs every so often.

It may be minor, but is still endlessly irritating when you're typing.
