1) Lightbox / scroll wheel
After opening a photo in a Lightbox user is able to scroll down the page with the scroll wheel:

Afterward when exiting the Lightbox the user may be in another section of the story from when opening the Lightbox which may affect usability.

NYTimes has solved this by easing the Lightbox closed on scroll:

2) Lightbox / Keyboard
Provide a means of closing the Lightbox via keyboard. ESC is a key commonly used for this. See NYTimes example above
