Describe the Bug
Upscayl keeps reverting back to PNG every time I open the app even though I have selected JPG before. It does remember it within single session, but as soon as I close it, it will revert back to PNG being default. Considering it remembers other settings, it should remember this as well. The fact I need to constantly go back and forth into settings menu to adjust this every time I restart app is so incredibly time consuming.
To Reproduce
Open Upscayl, go to Settings panel/menu and select JPG. Close Upscayl. Open Upscayl, go to settings and you will see PNG being selected instead of JPG.
It will remain on JPG for as long as you don't close the app, it's like it keeps setting when resident, but doesn't save it into settings file.
Upscayl Version (or commit hash)
2.15.0
Platform
Windows
OS Version
Windows 11 25H2
GPU Name
Radeon RX 9070 XT
Expected Behavior
It should remember what output image type is selected permanently until user changes it himself.
Though I honestly don't know why is a multiply factor slider from Upscayl panel duplicated in Settings panel with extra description and why is file type not located in Upscayl panel in the first place. I regularly switch between file types depending if i'm outputting final image which will usually be JPG, but if I expect further editing in another image editor I prefer to output PNG because it's lossless. I spend insane amount of time flipping file type switch back and forth, first because it's not remembering the state and secondly because it's in a settings menu instead of Upscayl panel which is visible by default.
