What Feature is Missing?
The map on the logbook is nice, but it only covers a narrow strip of the world somewhat around the user's latitude. In addition, it uses the Mercator projection, which is misleading with regard to distances, which are near and dear to the hearts of hams trying to reach far-flung places (or see how well they've reached). There should be an option to select azimuthal maps, either equal distance or equal area as desired.
Why is This Feature Important?
Having an azimuthal projection, either in the logbook or in the analytics section, can give operators an additional powerful tool to better understand the directionality and balance of their station's performance. The analytics section does have a page on antenna analytics for azimuth, and the map could go under that big circle, but at least for me no matter what band or mode I check all I see on that page is a big blue circle :-(
Is This Feature Personal or Beneficial to Others as Well?
PSK Reporter has an azimuthal option, and an informal survey of users who know about the option shows that many do use it, so I do think it would be beneficial to others.
