Yerevan: Artsakh War Vets Return Medals in Protest

Several veterans of the 2020 Artsakh War placed their military medals on the steps of the Government Building in Yerevan to protest what they see as the Pashinyan’s administration’s unacceptable concessions to Azerbaijan since the Armenian defeat.

“We cannot wear these medals when every value, every idea, every sacrifice that was the basis of these medals has been nullified,” Arman Petrosyan told reporters covering the protest.

“The most painful thing is that they started to renounce our identity, freedom, and the right to fight. That is why, today, I have come with my comrades-in-arms to raise my voice in protest. By returning our medals and orders, we want to say that this government is engaged in anti-national and anti-Armenian activities,” said war veteran Hovsep Ghazaryan.

While on vacation with my church, we visited Khor Virap and I saw a military style hat that had the Artsakh flag on it. I bought it immediately and will continue to wear it everyday

Armenians all over the world should keep the name of Artsakh alive by any peaceful means. So should the Armenians in fatherland by daily peaceful protests and pressuring the current government every which way possible.
