Personal Life

I’m Raf, originally from the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, now living in another vibrant and multicultural city — Toronto, Canada.

I’m a geek at heart with a love for all things tech, especially Cloud Infrastructure (DevOps) and CyberSecurity. Outside of tech, I’m into drawing, watercolor painting, photography, Toronto sticker artists (slaps), video games, and trying out food from different cultures.

Professional Life

My journey in tech started early, tinkering with computers and working in IT Support. After graduating, I was dragged into the world of Telecommunications Infrastructure, spending several years at a major ISP and learning the ins and outs of large-scale networks.

When I immigrated to Canada, I decided to pivot toward Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and Cybersecurity, areas that have both my curiosity and passion. Today, I’m part of a Canadian Managed Service Provider (MSP), working in Cloud Operations and Support with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). My role involves helping Fortune Global 500 clients managing and keeping their systems running, from network monitoring and data recovery to cybersecurity and technical support.
