Abstract

To understand the pathology of knee fractures, precise knowledge of the anatomical conditions is crucial. Besides the bony anatomy, a clear understanding of the kinematics and the functional anatomy is urgently required for the treating surgeons. Therefore, the following chapter should give an overview of the relevant anatomical facts and kinematics, helping the surgeons to develop a well-structured treatment concept for the injured patients.
