The Web has truly revolutionized our lives over the last three decades. People now work, communicate, learn, search for information, transact, and socialize on the Web. We truly live in the Web, no longer outside. This special issue focuses on recent research innovations and advances that aim to maximize the positive impacts of the Web (and its underlying information systems) on the society and people lives.
This special issue accepts submissions exclusively from invited extended papers presented at the 25th International Web Information Systems Engineering Conference (WISE 2024: https://wise2024-qatar.com). Authors of WISE24 extended papers must include a cover letter explaining the novelty of their submission, which must contain at least 60% new material (relative to what is published in WISE2024). Submissions will be reviewed according to the journal's rigorous review standards.
