When competing in kata, there is a round 1 requirement, where a specific kata must be performed. 

Round 1 Kata: Saifa, Bassai Dai, Seiunchin or Empi

Each round there after you can choose any of the following kata's to perform. 
Round 2 onwards: Any Kata in the GKR Syllabus
 
Open competitors must change Kata each round until the finals. During the finals, you may repeat any Kata from the heats – but you may not repeat the Kata used in the finals.

Please Note: You may need to perform your round 1 kata more than once, which for black belts can be repeated whilst in round 1 and you will be informed once round 1 is over, indicating you can no longer use that kata until the finals. 

Black Belts (Open Divisions)

When competing in Kata, there is a round 1 requirement, where a specific Kata must be performed. 

Round 1 Kata: Bassai Dai

Each round there after you can choose any of the following kata's to perform. 
Round 2 onwards: Up to and including Sepai /  Hangetsu / Kanku Dai / Kururunfa

Please Note: You may need to perform your round 1 Kata more than once, but you will be informed once round 1 is over. 
Kata's may be repeated across the rounds.

Brown Belt +

When competing in Kata, there is a round 1 requirement, where a specific Kata must be performed. 

Round 1 Kata: Saifa

Each round there after you can choose any of the following kata's to perform. 
Round 2 onwards: Taigyoku Shodan/Nidan, Saifa, Bassai Dai, Seiunchin, Empi

Please Note: You may need to perform your round 1 Kata more than once, but you will be informed once round 1 is over. 
Kata's may be repeated across the rounds.

Green, Blue & Red Belts

When competing in kata, there is a round 1 requirement, where a specific kata must be performed. 

Round 1 Kata: Taigyoku Shodan (1st Kata)

Each round there after you can choose any of the following kata's to perform. 
Round 2 onwards: Taigyoku Shodan (1st Kata) / Taigyoku Nidan (2nd Kata) / Saifa / Bassai Dai

Please Note: You may need to perform your round 1 kata more than once, but you will be informed once round 1 is over. 
Kata's may be repeated across the rounds.
