Desirée's newest EP 'VISHUDDHA' is both a healing and a confession. Over the past year, while unblocking her Vishuddha (throat chakra), Desirée healed her thyroid on her own through holistic practices, rebuilt her confidence, and stepped into her fullest expression. 'VISHUDDHA' tells the story of a failed relationship and a series of events that ultimately led to her unblocking - a year of self mastery that brought her where she is today. The project closes with a blend of R&B and reggae to capture the freedom and clarity that comes in hindsight - that moment you realize everything had to happen exactly as it did. It’s a reflection of one of Desirée’s favorite quotes: “It’s hard to see the picture when you’re in the frame.” 'VISHUDDHA' pays homage to the late 1950s - an era when Black musicians began to rise in their own image and sound. It was the birth of creative freedom, when they broke through the barriers that once silenced them and and used their Vishuddha to shape the culture.
