This crate requires a nightly (unstable, experimental) compiler version. To switch to it, you must have Rust installed via Rustup, and run:

rustup default nightly

Run rustup default stable to switch back.

spcasm is both an executable binary that can be run, and a library that can be used in Rust programs.

Installing brr spcasm executables

Assuming you have Rust/Cargo installed, run this command in a terminal:

cargo install spcasm

It will make brr spcasm commands available in your PATH if you've allowed the PATH to be modified when installing Rust. cargo uninstall spcasm uninstalls.

Adding spcasm library as a dependency

Run this command in a terminal, in your project's directory:

cargo add spcasm

To add it manually, edit your project's Cargo.toml file and add to the [dependencies] section:

spcasm = "2.0.0"

The spcasm library will be automatically available globally. Read the spcasm library documentation.
