As summary says, metaflac does not support adding ReplayGain tags to high-resolution files. I would like to request support for this in the next release of flac.
(This is really a feature request, but I don't see somewhere to categorise this as one).

Anything happened on this one? It's been a long long time.

Would be really nice to get that feature implemented. There is more and more Hirez stuff out there.I'm not aware of any other app in linux land supporting that feature. I guess it's not even a big deal to extend metaflac to different sample rates.

I' d really appreciate the implementation of that feature for 88.2/96/176.4/192

still no motion on this? I just converted a bunch of SACD dsf files to 24/88.2k flac and I miss this

Then you should probably try a newer version of FLAC, because this feature has been added to FLAC 1.3.0
