OK figured it out the rackarrack sources want FL in <fl fl_preferences.h=""></fl> but system has it in /usr/include/FL/Fl_Preferences.H ... Q&D workaround for me was to cp -r FL Fl in /usr/include/ I use Fedora 36 but i do guess its the same prob at your arch linux I will contact the fltk project about this when i have figured out howto (;-)) Note: its just small l versus capital L

If you try to build this on Arch where the compiler is up to date, you get: rakarrack.cxx: In member function ‘void RKRGUI::preset_click_i(Fl_Button*, void*)’: rakarrack.cxx:23586:18: error: format not a string literal and no format arguments [-Werror=format-security] 23586 | ok=fl_choice(temp2, "No","Yes", NULL); | ^~~~~ This is a recent(ish) development in gcc where they try to guard against sprintf weaknesses and the like. Hi, I love Rakarrack! I know this post is old, but it may help someone else... I run in the same issue, and find out that it was about new fonts I installed, I delete them and wow i got Rakarrack to start again, I'm so happy that it works again... Any advise to install the new fonts that I love, somehow without stopping Rakarrack to start? Thanks in advance....

Hi! I fixed it very easy. I added this line: rakarrack Waveshape Resampling:0 The file is in home > .ftlak > rakarrack.prefs Folder .ftlk is hidden, so you need first to select "Show hidden files" I use Ubuntu and similars

I'm disappointed that no one offered help here, it is very quiet here. I got it figured out though. It was a combination of settings I needed to change.

I tried setting in settings my time to 30 seconds but I still can't get the looper to record, or perhaps its a problem with playback, I don't know. Using Linux Mint 19.3. The other effects seem to work.

Hi, I saw this post while webcrawling for an idea for a similar project. I'm a second year applied electronics student. Been playing guitar awhile myself. I'm new to coding and linux, but i'm taking some classes and I have a raspberry Pi that I was hopeful to fit with something like Rakarrack and do similar to what you've done. I'm interested in how you were able to configure the controller to call the FX from buttons without needing the UI. I was hoping to load the program onto the Raspberry Pi...

Hi everybody. I'm approaching to the Behringer FBC 1010 midi foot controller and I would like to use it with both Rakarrack and Sooperlooper simultaneously. The problem is that Rakarrack is supposed to automatically assign a preset number to every MIDI signal received, so everytime I send a message that I would like to address to SooperLooper only, Rakarrack reads it too, changing preset when I would like it did not. As I can see, there'so way to disable single MIDI signals in Rakarrack in GUI. I'm...

I'm learning to play an electric guitar and built an external controller for Rakarrack. The controller uses an Arduino and buttons (switches) to select the FX (from the bank window). A few other buttons control some other parameters (volume in/out/FX%, etc.). I added some coding so the Arduino talks to Rakarrack via USB. It works quite well and it's a lot of fun! Is anyone aware of a similar project (so I don't go too far reinventing the wheel)?

Hi everybody. First, congratulations for your work and thank you for your decision to share it. I'm a guitarist and my intention is to do some lives with an acoustic guitar and both Rakarrak and SooperLooper. In order to do this, I'm using some USB pedal keys, and I need to set the same pedals to change track in SooperLooper, and to change preset in Rakarrack. The problem is that the "+" and "-" keys are the only keys that SooperLooper can't learn, so I was wondering if there's a way to change shortcuts...
