Originally hooked on PC gaming by Microprose flight sims and Sierra Adventure Games as a child, my favorite genres include strategy, military sims, FPS, Sci-Fi (not fantasy), some horror, anything historical or with an interesting story/characters plus I am open to trying anything that's original and engaging.

UPDATE: This list is a bit of a mess, but essentially as I get older and time gets more limited, I realize that I basically like playing two different kids of games: Sci-fi (space, aliens, first contact or apocalyptic / dystopian future) and historical (War World II, Ancient and Medieval) in two different genres: FPS and strategy (both RTS and turn-based). I mostly like single-player, I only really like Multiplayer in a few games like HLL and SD2.

I hate grindy crafting games where you waste half a day cutting down trees and digging up stones. Except Don't Starve, that one is good.

My Top 100-ish List ALL-TIME Greatest Video Games:
Metro 2033 (all)
Half-Life Series
Mass Effect (2, 1, 3 in that order)
Terra Invicta

System Shock (1 than 2)

Yea, I'm not worried. Every time this happens a new company from eastern Europe steps in and makes a better game by listening to their customers.

Yes, their games are still good, at least for now. Because better alternatives does not release yet.

No not 34, it's my mistake actually it's "37"

Ok, I get Steal Division II and Warno, but what about "The Dig" that's like a 30-year old LucasArts sci-fi adventure game. And to be honest, even if Eugen is acting in bad faith with their customers (randomly banning people and putting out paid DLC NOT included in the "expansion pack" "gold edition" "ultimate collection"), the games are still good.
