Provide feedback about an app
Filing a complaint or flagging an app or review:
- Purpose: This mechanism is used to report an issue or policy violation directly to Google's team for review and potential action.
- What to report: You would flag an app for issues beyond simply disliking it, such as violations of Google Play Developer Programme Policies (e.g. developers attempting to manipulate app placement through fraudulent or incentivised reviews) or illegal content. You can also flag inappropriate comments or reviews left by other users, or developer replies that violate the developer comment posting policy.
Flag an app
- Open the Google Play app

- Go to the details page for an app or game.
- Tap More
Flag as inappropriate.
- Choose a reason.
- Tap Submit.

Provide feedback about a review
User reviews:
- Purpose: This mechanism is used to share your personal experience with an app or game to help other users decide what to download or purchase.
- Audience: Reviews are publicly visible to other Google Play users and developers, showing your name and image from your Google Account.
- Content guidelines: Reviews should be useful, informative, reflect a genuine experience and be honest and unbiased. Google explicitly prohibits fake or inaccurate reviews, repeated postings, reviews from multiple accounts for the same content or reviews intended to mislead users or manipulate ratings. Reviews must also remain on-topic and avoid promotional or illegal content, or hate speech.

- Locate the comment or review that you'd like to flag.
- Tap More
Developers can publicly reply to comments or reviews. Follow these steps if you think that you've received a reply that doesn't follow the Developer comment posting policy:
- In the email that you received with the developer response, click Report developer reply.
- Fill in this form. Make sure that you include the direct link to the relevant developer comment, the developer’s name and a brief summary.
