Independence is key, hope you guys are going to keep this aspect. Vercel already "acquired" all of those big frameworks already... |

Honestly, it's really great that NuxtLab has held on until now, and Vercel's acquisition might not be a bad thing. |

Vercel "betting" on yet another framework other than their own. Let's hope their goals are truly honourable. |

Congrats to the entire team and hopefully take Nuxt to the 'next' level and get more exposure and contributions. @danielroe quick question on the ecosystem, is any ecosystem/repo getting affected because of this acquisition? Would there be a 'NuxtLabs' or Nuxt will be technically under "Vercel" now? |

Congratulations! As a Nuxt user since 2019, and since most of our services are built with it, hopefully this doesn't affect the ecosystem. |

I can't speak for the rest of the core team not employed by Vercel, but my commitment to Nuxt, the community, and the ecosystem hasn't changed. My funding will still come from the community and I remain fully independent. |

6 years ago I made this video - how to build and deploy a Nuxt.js app with the Working with Nuxt professionally all these years I have no doubt in the vision of the technical team or NuxtLabs & Seb. I am also happy that some of that hard work is being rewarded. Like many here I do hope the Vercel influence on the framework core stays minimal and that it only fosters a stronger Nuxt community. Congrats to the team and wish everyone a successful new endeavour. |

Let's see where this will lead, I'm more worried than I see good in this. In some years we will know if nuxt remains the same :D At least funding is solved now, which ensures the future of the project. Maybe I should be less skeptical |

The project fundamentals are sound. In this situation, the extra support is just what is needed. I feel very positive about this. Congrats to you all 🙌❤️🙌 |

Awesome tool and infrastructure are working together. As a developer who just like to make a few clicks to deploy something this is great. |

Finally the core team didn't have worries about fund again. Hopefully Nuxt UI Pro and other stuff can be fully open source as well and the community can be solid on this news. We all knowing, with this antfu will be everywhere of JavaScript ecosystem now 😄 but, I hope all of Nuxt team can be focus on nuxt roadmap, because we love of simplicity of Vue and Nuxt implementation so as User easy to achieve our goal to build more and maintainable. Please read this and waiting more improve of Nuxt/Vue Developer Experience! Cheers 🍻 |

I am very pleased to let you know that a number of us on the Nuxt core team are joining Vercel.
As you know, Nuxt is a free and open source framework for building full-stack web apps. One of the things that sets us apart is our community. So many people contribute, whether to the framework itself, to modules, or through articles, tutorials, and libraries.
It is not too strong to say that without the community, Nuxt would be a shadow of what it is today.
At the same time, Nuxt’s growth has been made possible by generous sponsorship — from individuals, companies, and especially NuxtLabs. NuxtLabs, founded by Sébastien and Alex Chopin, the original authors of Nuxt, has supported many of us on the core team, as well as others in the wider ecosystem.
We have seen Nuxt grow from small origins to powering sites from Google, GitHub, Microsoft — and many more. And the future of Nuxt is bright!
Vercel has decided to bet on that future.
Alongside acquiring NuxtLabs (I'll let you read more about that from Seb directly), Vercel are hiring several members of the Nuxt team to continue to work full-time on open source (@atinux, @pi0, @antfu and me). The rest of the team will remain freelance or are employed elsewhere.
In some ways, nothing is changing. As a team, we’ll retain our independence, public roadmap and open governance. I will continue to lead Nuxt’s technical and strategic direction full-time. And of course our values and commitments remain unchanged.
Nuxt will continue to be a community-built framework, with the same team, the same vision and the same values.
We believe in the open web, and I hope you know that at the heart of Nuxt is choice. Choice in modules, databases, bundlers, routers — and of course deployment platforms as well.
But in other ways, lots is changing. Vercel's investment in the Nuxt team means that we will have more time to invest in making Nuxt better and empowering our community. It's a strong endorsement of our vision — and will help us pursue it more sustainably.
It will also mean that sponsorship we receive from the community can now support even more contributors.
And joining Vercel gives us the chance to help shape their infrastructure to better serve the Nuxt community — and we trust it will therefore make Vercel a better choice for Nuxt apps.
As a team, we are excited to look ahead to the next chapter of Nuxt's growth.
I would love you to celebrate with us. ❤️
The future is bright.
