Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! These things are a lifesaver.

They give you more control and distributes the weight much better.

Back breaking really isn't a thing with these.

They have multiple wrist placement so you can shim it up as needed.

The fabric is rugged, thick and extremely strong. When using, I feel confident that the item is secure.

Two average strength woman can move heavy things with these... Two 60ish year old woman moved a hutch from the dining room, through the kitchen and into the garage. It was a heavy, solid wood Ethan Allen. We definitely would not have been able to do it if we didn't have these.

These price is great for what you can do with them and the quality of the items.

I recommend it for anyone. Even if you wouldn't do the moving, they can be available for anyone moving stuff for you.

They would also make a great housewarming gift and come in many colors.

Works well and very good quality, it is easy to use them.

The product is as advertised, but if you’re a professional moving things on a regular basis, these ones are probably not recommended; for anyone else, their perfect.

1. I removed one star for this reason alone. I expected nylon with the thickness of a typical 3-inch ratchet strap, but these are much thinner. (Probably the thickness of a typical 1-inch ratchet strap). It would also be nice to have something a little thicker with a movable Kevlar guard that could be positioned to protect the scrap on sharp edges. But you get what you pay for. These are pretty reasonably priced.

2. That being said, they are perfect for my needs as a homeowner for the few times a year they will get used.

3. This type of strap is a must-have for lifting anything heavy, especially if it doesn’t have any lift points at knee level. It will save your back and make moving a dream.

They aren’t great for moving up or down stairs (the way it works out, only one person can utilize the straps when going downstairs, and even then, it’s not that handy), so for stairs, a dolly is still best. But if the staircase is only 3-4 steps or the staircase is not steep, these are a must-have. I’ll always have a set of these lying around.

5. There is some cushioning where your forearms go, it is pretty thin; honestly, it’s probably unnecessary, but it's there…maybe it helps a little.

Really useful and comfortable. Not a scratch on the floor. Despite having bad backs we were able to move a washer, dryer, full freezer, and wine fridge with ease and no pain.

Love the bright color, love the options to grip at different levels, love how we don't have mysterious bruises or new aches, love that the floor isn't scratched one bit. Repositioning appliances went quickly since we were scrabbling for grip. Also meant there weren't any squabbles.

These are fine and work as advertised but are only useful in lifting items that otherwise don’t have a handhold and also prevent the straps from slipping out from the bottom. I wouldn’t think of these as a dramatic game changer for how you move every item with two people.

When lifting something heavy and awkward like a washer/dryer or couch, two of the main limitations are grip strength and ergonomics. You have to lean WAY over to get your hands under the edge of the thing. Once you lift it, the small muscles of your hands and forearms can become the limiting factor as they fatigue. Then it's time to find a place to put whatever you're carrying down-- and in a hurry-- before gravity makes the decision for you.

These straps do a couple of things. First, they redistribute the load to your upper forearm, removing grip strength as a limitation. Second, they increase leverage by applying the force further up your arms (IE closer to your shoulders). Less torque is applied to the shoulder, which means your delts and the other smallish muscles of your shoulders don't have to work as hard. Third, they improve ergonomics in many cases (such as carrying a couch or love seat) by allowing you to walk more upright, imparting less torque on the lower back. Fourth, they allow you to use your hands almost exclusively to stabilize the object, which gives better overall control.

What you're really doing with these is taking a lot of small muscles out of the picture, allowing some of the larger leg and back muscles to do the work. This is a double-edged sword, because it allows you to lift things that are heavier than you normally would. If your back, shoulders, and arms can handle it, no problem. However, if they can't...

This happened to me. A family member and I tried to lift a pull-out couch with a steel bed frame built into it. This thing was pretty heavy, I'd guess in the 300+ lb. range, and awkward. We lifted it, but after walking a few feet with it we realized that we were setting ourselves up for an injury. Heavy objects still have lots of inertia, so while you might be able to lift and walk with something like a heavy couch, you have much less safety margin if it wobbles, if someone slips, etc. In our case, we had to walk down a few steps with this couch, and there's no way the person in the lead would have been able to control the weight once it shifted toward them. We realized this and switched to furniture dollies before anyone got hurt.

This is where you have to be careful. Lift something that's too heavy and you'll be in deep trouble if the weight shifts or if you stumble. Also, you might be able to lift something with a high center of gravity (like an upright refrigerator) but you won't be able to control it if it begins to tip. Finally, you'll be limited by the strength of the weaker person doing the lifting. If one person is significantly stronger than the other, you need to be aware of it and accommodate the difference.

This is an excellent tool if you keep a comfortable safety margin between both lifters' physical limitations and the amount of weight to move. It's really valuable for keeping fatigue to a minimum while lifting moderately heavy loads. However, you have to be careful not to get in over your head. If it feels too heavy even with these straps, there's a good chance that it is.

I use these by myself to wrap around large items and then lift them from the top. Has saved me several times! Recently used it to load an old tube type tv that was too large for me to reach around. It wasn't heavy but just too bulky. These worked great. Yes they make other types of straps for that purpose but I already had these so I was glad to be able to use them by myself.

Just like another reviewer I had to order this twice because the first one I received from the seller hlandert-au was a cheap knock off.

After returning the knock off and ordering again - this time choosing to order from Amazon US at greater cost - I got the genuine item.

The genuine straps are good quality and work well. There is nice soft padding in the loops (where the knock off just used black webbing) and the strap used is nice and wide at 3" (unlike the knock off which was under 2").

The strapping also uses a nice sturdy weave, definitely much better in every way than the knock off versions and worth the extra.

They work well. One thing to be mindful of though is that the instructions warn against exposing them to UV or high temperatures else the straps will weaken. If you live somewhere hot like us in northern Queensland, you don't want to go leaving them in the back of a ute or inside a vehicle. They need to be stored somewhere air conditioned and out of the sun.

The lifting straps help me every day in my work as I lift heavy items all day .

I purchased these straps to move a 225 pounds linen cabinet from the main floor to the first floor (14 steps) and it made the job very easy. It makes moving large and/or heavy furniture very easy. I recommend this product.

Not good. Already the stitch went off during lifting.not recommended.

Really unimpressed with this. Two bands of nylon in a small roll. Don't waste your money.
